In discharging its regulatory mandate, the Nunavut Water Board is guided by various statutes and regulations that are above and beyond the 2 main legislative authorities it relies, namely the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement and the Nunavut Waters and Nunavut Surface Rights Tribunal Act.
